Position Summary: Efficiently operate sewing machine in support of bedding manufacturing
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains facilities within the warehouse and offices. Emphasis on manufacturing equipment
- Repair and maintain broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or devices
- Examine for defects such as breakage or excessive wear and consult with supplier if needed
- Go over optimization Phase 2 (Joshua Weber) is starting at 4:00pm. – Video call
- Observe and test the operation of machinery or devices to diagnose malfunctions
- Analyze test results, machine error messages, and verbal feedback to diagnose equipment problems
- Record repairs and maintenance performed
- Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials as necessary
- Performs preventive maintenance (PM) as described and recommended by equipment manufactures
- Establishes PM programs for machinery and devices when not provided by manufacturer
- Notifies Production Supervisor of Potential issues with machines in area of responsibilities
- Ability to adapt to product changes and Assist with additional projects as required
- Meet plant attendance requirements and maintain clean and organized work area
- Attention to detail - Fill out all required paperwork including but not limited to Operator Report, Quality Checks, line Condition Reports, etc
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Able to lift 50 pounds and stand for 8 hours if required
- Forklift experience preferred
- Proven mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical aptitude
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast pace environment
- Strong interpersonal, human relations, and problem solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work and play hard and smart
